規模5以上地震 今年已15起

（中央社記者汪淑芬台北29日電）今天上午花蓮外海發生芮氏規模5.6地震。根據中央氣象局統計，台灣平均每年芮氏規模5以上地震有30起，今年至今已15起。

氣象局地震測報中心統計，今年至今芮氏規模5以上地震以1月4起最多，其次是2月、4月及6月各3起，5月2起，多半在東部外海。

15起地震中，芮氏規模6以上的有5起，最大的一次是芮氏規模6.3，時間是6月2日，震央在發生在南投縣仁愛鄉，最大震度出現在草嶺達6級。

地震測報中心說，台灣位於歐亞大陸板塊與菲律賓海板塊交界處，所有地震原因都是板塊相互擠壓造成。陸地上的地震震央都是位在斷層帶，只不過除了已確認33條地表上可見的斷層帶外，還有許多不知的盲斷層。

今年3月27日及6月2日，南投分別發生芮氏規模6.2及6.3的地震，地震中心推測是由還未露出地表的盲斷層釋放能量。1020629
