國防部今晚召開記者會指出，民國93年5月，前國防部長李傑在立法院說明，海峽中線劃設標準改採單一座標連線，明確律定北緯27度、東經122度迄北緯23度
、東經118度之兩點座標連線為「海峽中線」沿用至今

由於中國大陸近日劃設東海防空識別區，總面積約42萬6000平方公里。國防部進一步檢視，台灣防空識別區與中共東海防空識別區重疊區域是2萬3000平方公里，指的是海峽中線北點以東的重疊區，也就是國軍目前的訓練區。

空軍司令部政戰主任劉守仁中將說明，至於北緯27度到29度的這塊區域，則都是監控範圍。他說，目前在重疊區的訓練沒有不同，一切正常，而重疊區外，國軍也緊密監控。

國防部常務次長沈一鳴中將表示，國軍監控海峽中線以西的情況，只要對岸有起飛就可以知道是什麼戰機，但只要不接近識別區的預警區，就只做監控。 〈中央社〉
