英國《柳葉刀》雜誌網站刊登大陸研究人員的報告顯示，個別患者體內的H7N9禽流感病毒出現變異，變異病毒對部分抗病毒藥物具有抗藥性。不過對多數患者來說，盡早使用抗病毒藥物仍能產生良好效果。
根據新華網報導，上海公共衛生臨床中心等機構的研究人員報告說，他們對該中心今年4月4日至20日收治的14名H7N9禽流感病毒感染者進行了研究，這些患者在進入該中心前均接受過至少兩天的常規流感藥物治療，包括服用達菲或帕拉米韋等抗病毒藥物。
研究人員發現，有3名重症患者在服藥後並無收效，其中兩名患者死亡，另一名患者仍需體外膜式氧合器等專門設備維持生命。研究人員測試了這些患者血清及尿樣中的病毒載量，並對病毒進行了基因檢測。
結果發現，這3名患者攜帶的H7N9禽流感病毒已出現針對部分抗病毒藥物的變異，其中一名患者的病毒變異可能發生在感染後，或許與接受治療有關。研究人員認為，對H7N9禽流感病毒可能出現的變異應加強監控，出現新情況後，應及時對目前的治療措施作出必要調整。
不過研究人員也指出，大多數患者接受達菲等抗病毒藥物治療後都有不錯的效果，即使在感染48小時後再接受治療也是如此。研究人員建議醫院對疑似病例和確診病例盡早收治，以增強治療效果。
