澳洲第3季經濟成長令人失望，澳元也隨即貶值。

澳洲官方周三公布，第三季GDP季增0.6%、年升2.3%，均低於分析師預期，也遜於前季修正後的0.7%季成長表現(修正前為0.6%)。

分析師先前預期澳洲第三季GDP季增0.8%、年升2.6%。

GDP數據公布前，澳元兌美元約莫0.9130美元，但公布後盤中下跌至 0.9068美元。

由於支撐過去10年經濟成長的礦業榮景消退，澳洲央行為提振經濟，自2011年以來已8度降息。

為了壓低利率，澳央行一直小心地推高房價，近來澳洲房價已超過2010年高峰，這也使得央行協助經濟的選擇變得更少，只能將幣值壓低。
