根據日本經濟產業省17日公佈的經濟數據顯示，2013年4月份日本經季節因素調整後的第3級產業活動指數持平於前月水準為99.7，擺脫了前月下滑0.2%的局面。另外，當月未經季節因素調整的第3級產業活動指數為年增1.4%至98.4，連續第2個月呈現上揚。

就業種別來看，當月表現上揚的行業為：金融業/保險業(月增3.5%)、學術研究/專門技術服務業(2.9%)、醫療/福祉業(0.8%)、情報通信業(0.7%)和水電瓦斯等公共事業(1.2%)。

當月表現下滑的行業為：批發零售業(月減0.9%)、運輸業/郵寄業(1.6%)、生活相關服務業/娛樂業(2.3%)、不動產業/物品租賃業(0.9%)、餐飲住宿服務業(0.4%)、不含公務的其他服務業(0.3%)、學習支援業(1.0%)複合服務事業(5.9%)。
