國際中心／綜合報導 菲律賓漁政船人員射殺台灣漁民，導致台、菲關係緊張。美國聯邦眾議院外交委員會主席羅艾斯，20日發表新聞聲明指出，菲律賓應與台灣就槍擊漁船案展開聯合調查，並向台灣人民及政府正式道歉。 羅艾斯（Ed Royce）在聲明中首先向死者家屬表達哀悼，並呼籲菲律賓與台灣政府直接合作解決事件所引發的問題。 羅艾斯表示，「達成彼此能接受的解決方案，並展開可信的聯合調查，確認事實真相，才是解決問題的關鍵。」他認為，菲國政府應向台灣人民與政府正式道歉，並賠償死者家屬。 他同時呼籲，菲律賓與台灣協商漁業協議，找出雙方都能明確理解的行事方式，避免未來再發生類似事件。 羅艾斯為眾院「台灣連線」成員，擔任國會議員以來，支持台灣向來不遺餘力。
