描述連續多起殘酷暴力謀殺案的日片《腦男》在日本上映時因電影大量犯罪驚悚鏡頭，而引發不小爭議，更引來日本家長嚴重關切。片中江口洋介和生田斗真一場激烈的打鬥戲，硬是拍了24小時才完成。
《腦男》被日媒譽為《沉默的羔羊》和《火線追緝令》的綜合版，在日本上映不僅突破十二億日幣，觀影人次更高達百萬人次。上映時因電影大量犯罪驚悚鏡頭，而引發不小爭議，而引來日本家長嚴重關切，擔心電影會讓喜愛男主角生田斗真的孩子們造成不良示範。

其中一場飾演刑警的江口洋介，和殺人機器「腦男」生田斗真的激烈打鬥戲，拍攝前各自接受長達半年的各式武術和搏擊等訓練，結果足足拍了24小時！對這場長達一天的打鬥戲，生田斗真笑說印象深刻，江口洋介則表示，兩個人都是全心投入並且拳拳到肉，讓他非常享受參與演出的每一刻。
而生田斗真對於《腦男》的喜愛與期待更是無法用言語形容，決定接拍時，他深信這個角色將是他演藝事業與演技上的大突破，於是推掉近半年的所有工作，只為了全心投入角色。

由於小說中描繪「腦男」是個幾乎不眨眼、毫無情感的男子，生田斗真為了訓練出不眨眼的狀態，籌備時在家曾連續一周用蓮蓬頭沖睜開的雙眼，希望讓眼睛習慣各種外力狀態的特訓，卻沒想到特訓過頭，導致雙眼一度嚴重紅腫，慘遭醫生警告恐瞎眼！電影將於6月7日在台上映。
