鴻海除了積極準備70吋智慧電視的推出外，第1支為國內電信業者自有品牌代工的手機也正式亮相，台灣大與鴻海策略聯盟推出4.3吋智慧手機，價格較市場上同級規格的手機具有相當的優勢，台灣大營運總經理賴弦五表示，4款「國民機皇」從3.5吋到5吋都有，搶進低階智慧手機市場，銷售總量可望超過50萬支。
賴弦五表示，台灣大自有品牌是市場高CP值的定義者。2012年推出兩款A系列智慧手機，首度開啟行動裝置市場進入5000元以下價格帶；今年則是推出4支高規享受的「國民機皇」系列手機，搶在暑假來臨前上市。
他說，與鴻海合作的手機，是鴻海首度為國內電信自有品牌代工的第一支手機，策略聯盟意義大，這款手機的規格約與目前市場上萬元手機相當，但實際銷售價格不到一半，鎖定想升級4.3吋智慧手機的消費者。

台灣大一口氣推出4支挑戰破盤價的自有品牌手機，將搶攻2G轉換3G百萬用戶大餅，空機價格從3.5收吋的1990元到5吋4核心智慧手機的6990元，賴弦五預期將掀起低階智慧手機市場白熱化的競爭。
他說， 2012年5月、10月推出兩款自有品牌手機，累計銷售量雙雙突破10萬支，預估今年4支「國民機皇」銷售總量可望超過50萬支。
