香港劉江華：新聞自由受基本法保障

香港立法會繼續辯論有關「捍衛資訊、新聞及網絡自由」的動議。

工黨議員何秀蘭提出修定案，她說，現有的《公開資料守則》無助傳媒監察政府及公營機構，傳媒現時採訪突發事件時，只能得到有限資料，但警方卻遲遲不披露某些意外的地點，如將軍澳斬人事件為例，警方沒有主動公布案件，令市民不能即時提高警覺。

署理政制及內地事務局局長劉江華表示，新聞自由受基本法27條保障，傳媒百花齊放，廣泛報導大小事務，發放各項資訊。他又說，政府非常重視香港的網絡環境，會針對違法的行為作管制，確保市民依法使用網絡。
