勇士隊投手Anthony Varvaro在10局下兩次「挖地瓜」暴投，造成要命傷害，第1次暴投，讓道奇跑者攻上得點圈，第2次暴投更奉送再見分。道奇隊靠著「地瓜王」贊助，以2比1險勝。
道奇隊南韓投手柳賢振傷癒復出，投7又2/3局、6K、失1分，無關勝敗，拿到勝投的是第10局登板的Brandon League。勇士隊先發Paul Maholm投7又1/3局也只失1分，同樣無關勝敗，敗投是暴投連連的Varvaro。
這是自從道奇隊把「救世主」Yasiel Puig叫上大聯盟後，5場比賽裡的第4勝。Puig這一戰擊出追平比數全壘打，生涯第4轟，這4支全壘打，正好陽春彈、2分、3分、滿貫各1發，上一位有這樣表現的道奇球員，是Frank Howard。不同的是，Puig只花了5場，就敲出4發紅不讓，Howard在1958年擊出生涯首轟，卻等到1960年，才打出生涯第4支全壘打。
另外，Puig前5戰打下10分打點，追平大聯盟紀錄，是史上第3人，前2人分別是2010年Danny Espinosa、以及1951年Jack Merson。
10局下道奇1出局後，Ramon Hernandez敲安打，並靠暴投上二壘。Luis Cruz補上安打，代表再見分的Hernandez站上三壘，道奇隊換上Skip Schumaker代跑。Varvaro在面對Juan Uribe時，出現這個半局第2次暴投，Schumaker衝回本壘，結束比賽。
