台灣投手王建民今定將改投多倫多藍鳥隊，經紀人張嘉元說，重返大聯盟投手丘是建仔第一目標，簽下藍鳥隊，是「蠻強的決定，要去拚了」，他也會全力以赴，拿出最好成績。
洋基美國當地時間7日宣布釋出王建民，隨即也證實王建民將與多倫多藍鳥隊（Blue Jays）簽下大聯盟合約。張嘉元說，王建民7日晚預計代表洋基3A球隊史克蘭頓/維克斯巴鐵道騎士（Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders）先發已取消，但仍會加入球隊練習。
8日藍鳥3A球隊會到洋基3A球場出賽，屆時王建民將與藍鳥隊會合，但會到10日才正式向藍鳥隊報到，並在11日晚間首度披上藍鳥戰袍出戰芝加哥白襪隊（
White Sox）。
張嘉元形容，對建仔來說，簽下藍鳥隊是「蠻強的決定，就是要拚了」，他會像剛上大聯盟時一樣，全力以赴，做到最好。
張嘉元說，藍鳥提供的是大聯盟基本合約，但對王建民來說，雖然他仍想留在洋基，但現實情況不允許，在以進大聯盟為至高與唯一目標下，王建民希望能盡早
